This Senior Researcher position has been established as a result of a generous gift to Trinity College from Tzo Tze Ang and Eashwar Krishnan.

The Cambridge Cancer Centre, in conjunction with Trinity College, would like to recruit an experienced researcher, with at least three years’ postdoctoral experience, to work in cutting edge research in the area of the prevention, diagnosis, or treatment of cancer. The successful candidate will be hosted by one of the academic departments or institutions within the University of Cambridge, to be identified following discussion with the successful applicant.

Depending on the experience of the successful candidate, the appointment will either be made on the University Research Associate scale (grade seven, £28,982 – £37,768) or the Senior Research Associate scale (grade nine, £38,896 – £49,230). Appointments at the level of Senior Research Associate are subject to approval by the relevant Faculty Board. In addition Trinity College will provide benefits such as a housing allowance, dining privileges, and office facilities.

The position is funded for a fixed term of five years, and comes with a consumables budget to cover the costs of laboratory consumables, equipment, and travel.

The successful candidate will hold a PhD in a relevant specialist subject, and will possess research experience with sufficient breadth/depth of specialist knowledge in a related discipline, and will have a sound understanding of the research methods and techniques required to work within established research programmes.
