The Department of Neurology at the University of Pittsburgh seeks outstanding candidates for a full-time tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank working in the field of pre-clinical stroke research. We are seeking highly-motivated individuals with demonstrated potential for creativity and academic excellence that have been successful in securing extramural funding. A focus on the cellular & molecular mechanisms of neurovascular injury and repair is desirable, but applicants with expertise in other related areas will be considered. Demonstrated experience with the creation and use of transgenic animals is required. Additional interest and experience in blood brain barrier biology and neuroinflammation is a plus. Ph.D. in Neurobiology or equivalent training is required. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
