Applications are invited for a Research Assistant/Research Associate to work with Professor Ruth Cameron at the Cambridge Centre for Medical Materials, Department of Materials Science and Metallurgy, University of Cambridge.

The post is part of an ERC Advanced Grant “3D Engineered Environments for Regenerative Medicine”. The duties will include the evaluation of the interaction of cells with biomaterial scaffolds and collagen based materials. 

Applicants should have or be about to receive a PhD in an appropriate field such as matrix biology or biochemistry with applicability to biomaterials research.  Candidates will ideally have expertise in handling collagen based materials and measuring cell adhesion and phenotype. Experience in fluorescent microscopy and histology would be an advantage.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2018 in the first instance.

Slaray: Grade 5 £25,023-£28,292 and Grade 7 £28,292-£37,768
