Cardiff University is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Counselling skills to teach two modules on the MSc in Genetic Counselling, to cover a period of maternity leave in 2015-16. You will join our lively and dynamic MSc in Genetic Counselling team, which is internationally recognised for its research and teaching. You will have an excellent academic record, including teaching experience at undergraduate/postgraduate level. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and a strong track record in counselling skills and the ability to provide appropriate pastoral support to students. A strong commitment to teaching counselling skills in a health setting is also essential.
This is a part-time (5.5 hours/week) post and is available immediately. The Counselling Skills teaching on the MSc in Genetic Counselling takes place every Thursday morning during term time.
This post is fixed term until 31st July 2016.
Anticipated Interview Date: 23rd September 2015.
Salary: £31,342 – £37,394 per annum, pro-rata for hours worked (Grade 6) or £39,685 – £45,954 per annum, pro rata for hours worked (Grade 7)
