BIOINFORMATICIAN RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Salary Range: £33,860 – £40,620 per annum

Full-time, fixed-term until 31 March 2017

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Bioinformatician Research Associate position within the Centre for Complement & Inflammation Research (CCIR), Division of Immunology and Inflammation of the Department of Medicine, at the Hammersmith Campus.

The CCIR has an international reputation in the field of autoimmunity. The project aims to identify cell-specific transcriptional signatures in a cohort of well-characterised patients with systemic lupus erythematosus.

The position is funded by NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and is available until 31st March 2017 in the first instance.

The post offers a unique opportunity to work within well-funded laboratories with an international reputation in research and close links with the NIHR Imperial BRC Genomics Facility that provides state-of-the-art laboratory and computational support for translational research.

Candidates should hold a PhD in biomedical science, preferably genetics, or an equivalent qualification. Work experience in bioinformatics, computer science or a closely related discipline would be beneficial to this post. Preference will be given to applicants with previous experience using bioinformatics tools.
