The Department of Dermatology is seeking an Associate Professor/Professor, Term Tenure Track or Term Tenure appointment. This position can be for an MD, MD/PhD or a PhD. MD & MD/PhD. The candidate must be board certified in Dermatology and either have or be eligible for a Texas medical license. Preference would be for a Professor level appointment but would consider a seasoned Associate Professor. The candidate will focus research on some aspect of skin cancer or dermatologic issues affecting our cancer patient population. A seasoned researcher with a proven track record of funding. Candidate selected will plan, develop and prepare research projects to further develop and refine his/her area of expertise and to integrate this expertise with others in the Department of Dermatology as well as collaborators external to the department. He/she will submit research proposals/grants for internal and external funding. This candidate will establish collaborative relationships for proposal development. He/she will independently conduct original research and will be responsible for the design, conduct, and analysis of their research projects. He/she will perform other related scientific duties in the scope of his/her position as required. He/she must be able to work within a context of very intense interpersonal relationships including peers, physicians, patients, and subordinates.
