Degree and area of specialization:
Ph.D. and/or M.D. in biological or biomedical science, relevant postdoctoral experience, and outstanding research accomplishments in areas including, but not limited to stem/progenitor biology, cell biology, developmental biology, tissue regeneration/engineering, microenvironment, aging, hematopoiesis, cardiovascular biology, and epigenetics.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Three years relevant postdoctoral experience, and outstanding research accomplishments in areas including, but not limited to normal or pathologic processes, including cancer, will be considered. Candidates for associate professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the tenure track.
Principal duties:
The Department of Cell and Regenerative Biology is seeking a tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor. The successful candidate is expected to develop and maintain a robust extramurally funded research program and to participate in medical and/or graduate student education. The successful candidate will also participate in professional, public and university service appropriate to the faculty rank.
