NIAB is an independent plant science organisation, providing a range of research and technical services to the agricultural, horticultural and food sectors.

As a result of an expanding programme of weed research, we wish to appoint a Weed Research Assistant to support and help develop a range of research projects focusing on weed biology and management in arable crops.

The successful applicant will be based at Cambridge, although a willingness to travel to other UK research sites is required.

Applicants should have a science-based degree and/or knowledge of field experimentation, glasshouse work, weed science and UK arable production. Some involvement in research demonstration and liaison will also be required. Good communication, planning skills and some experience in data collation and analysis are essential along with a full driving licence, as some research sites are not easily accessible via public transport.
