The Department of Cell Biology and Physiology at Washington University School of Medicine invites applications for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at the level of Assistant Professor. Outstanding individuals working in any area of fundamental cell biology or in the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying the pathophysiology of human disease are encouraged to apply. Applications also are welcome from investigators who leverage quantitative, cross-disciplinary expertise in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry to address important questions in cell biology and physiology.

Departmental research currently spans a wide range of topics, including membrane trafficking and transport, cell signaling and excitability, cell cycle, cancer, aging, apoptosis, cell motility, extracellular matrix and prion biology. Our research is enhanced by a highly collaborative environment within the Schools of Medicine, Engineering, and Arts & Sciences. The department is well positioned to undergo substantial growth under new leadership. Additional information about the department is available at www.cellbiology.wustl.edu.

We will offer competitive start-up funding, well-designed laboratory space and access to core facilities, including the new state-of-the-art Washington University Center for Cellular Imaging.

Applicants should submit the following as a single PDF (cover letter, curriculum vitae, and statement of research accomplishments and future goals) to Dr. David Piston, Edward J.
