Program Officer – Veterinary and Agriculture Sciences
Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) created Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF) in 2006 as part of its ongoing commitment to establishing Qatar as a knowledge-based economy.
The Biomedical and Health Sciences Directorate of QNRF aims to foster original, competitively-selected research with priorities in the areas identified by Qatar National Research Strategy.
Qatar Foundation and QNRF would like to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the “Program Officer – Veterinary and Agriculture Sciences” position.
The Program Officer for Veterinary and Agriculture Sciences will manage and facilitate the implementation of QNRF research competitions and projects and other research-related programs, as well as operations in the Biomedical and Health Sciences areas.
The job requirements include:
– A Ph.D. in the veterinary and agriculture sciences field, such as zoonotic diseases (infectious diseases transmitted from animals to humans), food safety, food supply through livestock, health monitoring and treatment.
– After the award of the Ph.D., six or more years of successful research and research administration in the above research fields.
– A record of achievement in research or technical program management.
