The Position
You will be responsible to the Head of the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology within the College of Medicine, Biological Sciences and Psychology. You will undertake research, teaching, administration and other duties supporting the work of the Department and the College so as to develop and enhance its reputation for teaching and research.
You should have an international standing in your field and also have an established record of attracting research funding. You may also be currently working on the structural biology of macromolecules and complexes, or have research interests that include structural biology of cancer targets and/or using cryo-electron microscopy to study macromolecular complexes.
The College is seeking to establish a Research Institute of Structural and Chemical Biology and you will be a key member of this exciting new University research investment. Depending on your research interests, you may also play a role in the research programmes of the Leicester Cancer Research UK Centre.
