A cipher machine used to hide secrets will be auctioned to help reveal medical secrets

29 September 2015

We are delighted that Simon Singh, science writer and Sense About Science trustee, is auctioning his WW2 cipher machine to raise money for the AllTrials campaign and Good Thinking.

The M-209 is a mechanical cipher machine used by the US military during the Second World War.

Bonhams Fine Art Auctioneers will auction the machine on Tuesday 27 October. Please do publicise this to any people or organisations you think would be interested. And if you cannot afford to bid in excess of £1,000 for an M209, please consider making a small monthly or one-off donation to support the work of AllTrials and/or Good Thinking
