Fixed-term contract for three months.
The post-holder will work alongside the existing UK Vegetable Genebank team of technical and research staff. You will be searching and reviewing published literature and collating references and information on how the UK Vegetable Genebank collections have been used from its inception in 1980 to the present time.
The post-holder will need to develop, in conjunction with the Principal Investigator, an appropriate data management system for analysis and retrieval of results, as well as developing the best search terms and query phrases to use.
You will have a Honours degree or equivalent in a related subject area and experience in conservation or use of genetic resources. In addition, you will have experience of literature reviews and data collation. Experience of drafting results for input into scientific publications would be desirable.
