Permanent Position

Applicants are invited to apply for the permanent position of Lecturer (ATB) in Biomedical Engineering, UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

The School (http://www.ucd.ie/eacollege/eece/) is embarking on a targeted recruitment initiative in the area of Biomedical Engineering, in collaboration with the UCD School of Mechanical & Materials Engineering and UCD School of Medicine & Medical Science. This is a full-time, permanent tenure-track position. Applications are particularly sought from individuals with experience in the areas of neural engineering, biomedical signal processing, biomedical sensors or related fields.

It is expected that the appointee to this position will have a strong track record and trajectory of international-level research achievement in Biomedical Engineering. It is also expected that the appointee will have the qualifications and experience to deliver high quality research-informed teaching and learning up to Masters level, contributing to Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Biomedical Engineering. It is expected that the successful candidate will maintain an active personal research programme, publishing in leading international journals and conferences, and pursuing opportunities for research funding while participating fully in the programmes and academic activities of the School, College and University.

Salary Scale:  €50,807 – €76,936 per annum.

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
