Obesity and its related morbidities are widely recognised as some of the most important problems facing public health today; research in this field is ever growing. The obesity summit, brought together lead scientists from all over the world to discuss and debate the main factors of obesity, its treatment and causes. In an informal academic setting this event offered opportunities to discuss a great variety of factors involved in obesity, including prediction, prevention, diagnosis and management, gene-environment interactions, drug discovery, fetal reprogramming, lipidomics and metabolomics
